Helpful Hint:

Add a 3 gallon bucket of Mushroom compost to each Vegetable plant. Also, mulch with a 3” layer. You’ll be amazed with the results. Less disease and more fruit!

Helpful Hint:

Many people have problems with tomato blight during summer. We have found, if the ground stays consistently moist, you can probably eliminate chances of blight. To help keep the ground moist, add 2 ice cream buckets full of mushroom compost/vegetable plant, and mix into soil well. Plant your tomatoes very deep, only leaving a few leaves showing above ground.

We also mulch each plant with a 3” layer of mushroom compost. You can use leaves, or something that does not attract heat. If you use grass clippings, mix in some leaves, to help loosen up the grass clippings. We use a soaker hose. So we will turn on the hose for about 8 hours. But we have low water pressure. When it gets very hot, we will turn on the hose once every five days.
